The first campsite of Spain and the 4th of Europe according to Deutscher Camping Club!

Our campsite, Camping Cala Llevadó, has been internationally recognized with the “DCC Europe Prize” awarded by the prestigious German Camping Association, which has been honouring Europe’s best campsites since 2007.

This year’s “Reise+CAMPING” fair, celebrated from 21 to 25 February, has given awards to the following campsites: Vital Camping Bayerbach in Germany; Camping Cikat in Croatia; Naturpark Schluga-Seecamping in Austria; and, as we’ve already mentioned, our own Cala Llevadó in Tossa de Mar.

This fair takes place in Essen, Germany. It is a major event within the travel, tourism, camping and caravanning sectors.

One of the reasons Camping Cala Llevadó was awarded is that we are eco-friendly. This makes us very proud and determined to continue working hard to improve this aspect of our campsite.

Our modern, sustainable installations, which comply with European construction standards, have proved us right: being committed to the environment brings nothing but benefits.

This prestigious accolade and symbol of international recognition gives us extra encouragement to honour our pledge that our 70 bungalows, 300 tent plots and 200 caravan plots become more ecologically sustainable by the day. And this at a time when ecological sustainability is more vital than ever.

Of course, our location on the beautiful Catalan coast – with the Mediterranean lapping our shores – is a gift. We can offer our guests a magical setting, with four magnificent beaches and countless coves just a stone’s throw from our facilities, unique coastal paths, and an enviable cultural and architectural environment in the lovely town of Tossa de Mar.

The president of the DCC, Mr Andreas Jörn; the two vice-presidents of the German Camping Club, Dieter Albert and Michael Woltmann; president of the Fédération Internationale de Camping Caravaning et Autocaravaning, João Alves Rereira; and Rudolf Jelinek, mayor of the city of Essen and Kuhrt, presented us with the prize.

All of us here at Camping Cala Llevadó would like to express our gratitude to our guests for this international recognition of our 59 years of service. Without you, none of this would have been possible. And many thanks and congratulations to the other award winners
