… and never to be forgotten!
Did you know that the prestigious magazine Traveler has published a list of the 50 best beaches in Spain and that three of them are in Tossa? So, come on you lucky holidaymakers, what are you waiting for? Come and discover them for yourselves!
Camping Cala Llevadó is proud to welcome you to some of the most beautiful beaches and coves across the Costa Brava. As you’ll see, there are beaches for all tastes: big and small, easily-accessible or off the beaten track. And the best thing about them is that they’re all near to your holiday home: Camping Cala Llevadó.
From our campsite, you’ll be able to reach the two beaches of Sta. María de Llorell: playa de Llevant and playa de Garbí which almost join to form a single, magnificent beach, 460 metres long and 50 metres wide.
This mega beach offers all the services you could imagine, from a beach bar to calm your thirst, to a small sports club. There are also showers and bathrooms.
The views from this beach are breathtaking, and you are within walking distance of two more gorgeous coves: Cala Morisca and Cala Porto Pi.
If you fancy taking a stroll towards Tossa, you’ll find beautiful places to bathe, such as Cala d’En Carlos, Cala Figuera (nudist), and, of course, Cala Llevadó which gives its name to your favourite campsite.
But you can’t leave Tossa de Mar without visiting the largest of the municipality’s 19 beaches: Platja Gran de Tossa, which, with its 430 metres of fine sand, crystal-clear waters and medieval castle backdrop is one of the most photogenic beaches you’ll ever see according to the article in Traveler magazine.
From a big beach to a tiny cove: Cala Menuda is a delight for all your senses. You’re sure to fall in love with this charming inlet. And you won’t be alone: visitors voted it second in the 50 most beautiful beaches in Spain.
If you’re the sort of person who likes to stroll along cliffs and take in the views before reaching the beach and rewarding yourself with a cooling swim, make sure to visit Cala de Sa Futadera. You’ll fall in love with its steep steps and wild vegetation. It’s the third beach in Tossa de Mar to make Spain’s top 50 most beautiful beaches.
Finally, we recommend a swim in little Cala d’Es Codolar. This 80-metre cove will transport you to another time, when townsmen went fishing, soldiers kept watch from the imposing castle, and the fishermen’s wives weaved nets while waiting for their husbands to come back with the catch. Let yourself be swept away by the magic of the place… relax and let your imagination run wild.
